This petition is about bringing an Education program down to the newly added Texas A&M building in Mcallen, Texas. It is located at 6200 Tres Lagos Blvd in Mcallen, Texas 78504. This location offers four undergraduate degrees which are Interdisciplinary Engineering, Multidisciplinary Engineering Technology, Biomedical Sciences, and Public Health. While these degrees are beneficial to South Texas there is a request for other undergraduate degrees respectively. The valley is one of the top growing cities in the world with nearby cities in Edinburg, Texas doubling since the 1980’s with 600,000 to nearly 1.4 million. Where there is a growing population there is a demand for education. There are many who would like to stay present in their growing community and may sometimes not be able to travel which is why the Valley needs certain programs that offer a university grade education along with Aggie pride! We ask that you sign this petition in regards to the possibility that we may bring the education here to our home so we may not have to send our beloved ones over 368 miles away from home and also offer them a good quality education.
