Life matters! It is important that we all come together to make walking along and crossing roads as safe as possible. I do my part to drive safely, and give right of way to pedestrians and cyclists. We need more crosswalks!

I am a mother of three boys under 10 years old. Before they were born I loved to travel, walk, and explore. I can't do that with my kids. I'm scared to go to a lot of places with them. most places in Asheville have hardly any parking and high traffic. It's insane. Vehicle rein and rule in Asheville.

I love my city! I love Asheville's care for people -- locals and visitors alike. As we grow, I want the city government to keep us a pedestrian-friendly and bicycle-friendly community.

The struggle is real. I would also like to request your attention to the Biltmore Ave/SouthSide/Charlotte St. intersection. Why are there no crosswalks outside of our minor league baseball stadium? Makes no sense for the foot traffic generated there!

I want safer sidewalk and crosswalks for pedestrians. I live off Haywood Rd. And I have witnessed many near-miss accidents and a couple of actual hits.

I work with visually impaired individuals to help them find work. They often have to stay on a bus twice as long in order to get to the side of the street of their destination because they cannot see to cross the street. Some areas of downtown A'vl have talking crosswalk signs. Having to take 5 MORE years to have one of the worst intersections in the country brought up to safety standards is very sad and not acceptable. A'vl needs more crosswalks, and drivers need to be mindful of others.

I want us all to be safer when crossing the street. Our little city is growing and we need to make Changes as it does.
