Ending gun violence is important to me because the people in my community, and I would feel safer. No one should have to walk around with the fear that someone around them might be able to shoot them for no reason.

Gun violence affects me because sometimes it causes me to be scared, and nervous when I'm outside, since I don't know who might have a gun on them. 

One of the most important ways we can end gun violence is by having a stricter policy for purchasing guns, or only selling guns to certain people. Only under certain circumstances should people be able to buy guns. Buying guns should not be as easy as it is for people who are not a Police Officer, or apart of law enforcement agencies like the FBI. The only reasons that a Gun should be used by a civilian is if they, or someone around them is put in a dangerous situation, where they would need to use a Gun for protection. Ending Gun violence can make not only New York, but the country as a whole, a safer place.
