Below I am outlining next steps, and how you (or someone you know who is like-minded) could help. 1) If you know another Belmont resident who may be interested in signing the petition, please forward this link: http://www.change.org/p/city-council-of-belmont-ca-ban-leaf-blowers 2) If you are familiar with Facebook, please consider posting the petition (content/link) 3) If you use twitter, please contact me to discuss how we/you may use it 4) We need some website help, so if you are versed in this, please let me know. 5) At some point in the future, we will need some Belmont moms (that’s according to my political advisor) to join in a meeting with a Belmont City council member. If you are open to this, please let me know (personally, I think a few engaged dads are good, too). 6) A key element of success is to have gardeners to support the regulatory change. I’d like us to launch something like a ‘green gardener’ website. This could actually evolve into a business idea: list gardeners that are willing to adhere to the proposed new rule, and market the website along the SF peninsula. I will provide the first 3 gardeners that are interested in being listed on this website. They could be the platinum sponsors of this website (or something like it).
