Maui is a special place in a crazy, chaotic world. Is Maui ready to reopen, freely? No! Is Maui ready to take a measured, restricted approach to opening gently? Apparently not. See, the hoteliers, the big money resorts and the F&B industry want to open the islands back up to the trampling crowds. There is no plan for a careful 2 tier approach, which is the only approach that might have a prayer of saving the Maui population from the self centered, greedy and thoughtless onslaught of middle America that is about to descend on Hawaii. Please encourage the Maui Mayor to listen to the State Governor, hear our plea!! The opening needs to happen under strict and measured control.
