The encroachment of lakes in Hyderabad is a major issue that leads to climate change and other problems. Many people all over the world are being affected by climate change, it is ruining their lives. It is very important to mitigate its effects as soon as possible. Hyderabad is also affected by climate change. There are many problems that contribute to climate change. One of the problems is the encroachment of lakes.

The encroachment of lakes has led to floods in Hyderabad. It led to floods in parts of Hyderabad in October 2020 where there were heavy rains, and the natural flow of water was blocked by constructions. There was a lot of damage and fatalities because of these floods. The purpose of this petition is to spread awareness about this problem and encourage the government to take action to save lives and the environment. The encroachment of lakes is also not a well-known problem in Hyderabad.

The government has not been taking much action to decrease the encroachment of lakes until the recent floods in Hyderabad. The citizens of Hyderabad need to shed light onto this problem for the government to take action. The governments can clear the constructions that are blocking the path of the natural flow of water, they can create paths leading to other lakes, ban the encroachment of lakes and create more man-made lakes.

The citizens of Hyderabad can also help in stopping the encroachment of lakes by spreading awareness about it and making people realise how important it is to stop.

People need to come together as a society and help reduce the impacts of climate change. Everyone can make a difference, they just have to try. Every small action can help, and stopping the encroachment of lakes is a big step in this journey to reduce the impacts of climate change.
