Voters in Newton, Massachusetts are not permitted to display any election signs in the time not in between the 45 days before an election and the 70 days after an election. Voters will be fined $300 every day they keep up election signs not in the allotted time.

This law goes against the First Amendment, the freedom of expression. Voters should have the right to express their opinions on who they wish to elect.
