COVID-19 has been wreaking havoc in our beloved nation of Malaysia and around the globe the past few months. Lives have been lost. People's well being and livelihood has been severely affected. The situation has been going downhill recently with rapid increase in number of infected people locally. The situation seemed to be going out of control, but the government of the day has stepped in and taken difficult but good decision to bring the situation under control.

Despite the grave situation and efforts taken by the government, we have an elected representative, Deputy Women and Family Development Minister Siti Zailah Mohd Yusoff, who seems to be completely ignorant of the situation on hand. First, she ephasizes about the need for Shariah compliant uniforms for MAS staff when these poor souls are facing uncertainty of loosing their jobs or going payless for months. Next, she makes a insensitive and poorly thought of tweet stating death is expected whether by COVID-19 or some other cause and the only true solution is to renew our faith. We, the citizens expect our Ministers and elected representatives to employ critical thinking and logic to address problems and issues this nation is facing. We do not need a person who uses god and faith to make up for the incompetencies sitting in the cabinet and making important decisions on behalf of the tax payers. Therefore, Deputy Women and Family Development Minister Siti Zailah Mohd Yusoff should resign and make way for competent people. She's a stumbling block for the efforts taken by the government to handle the COVID-19.
