Requesting federal intervention- Mi’kmaq Fisheries

0 have signed. Let’s get to 2,500!

After a night of arson in which a building was destroyed and 80 to 100 firefighters called to contain the blaze, we hereby request a formal intervention into the violence and vandalism being committed in Nova Scotia against the Mi’kmaq fisheries. This goes well beyond the differing views on First Nations treaties and has now become a safety concern which is escalating to the point where loss of life is a very real reality. I am asking for everyone to leave their opinions out of this situation and simply state that the danger of the loss of life is more important then commercial food and marine agriculture. For the sake of the citizens of the Atlantic Provinces, it is your responsibility to intervene and see to it that mob justice is ended and rule of law and existing treaties may continue.
