Hyderabad is losing the battle against climate change, in part due to poor waste management. Hyderabad generates 7.51 lakh tonnes of waste, or 751,000,000 kg of waste, of which only 20% is recycled, and when the waste is transported to a dump yard, only 10% of the recyclable waste can be recycled. The reason for this is wet waste. Wet waste is also referred to as kitchen waste. Cooked food, uncooked food, vegetable and fruit peels, and so on are all included. This waste mixes with recyclable waste, and when they are taken to the government dump yard to be separated, they are unable to separate the wet waste from the recyclable waste, resulting in improper segregation and cant recycle the cycled waste. 

Organic waste converters (OWC) are machines that convert organic wet waste into valuable compost for organic farming. We can process the wet waste and make it easier to recycle the recyclable waste and separate it from the other waste if we use these converters, but we can also send the valuable compost gained from the converter to our farmers in Hyderabad. Hyderabad is losing the battle against climate change, and waste is a major contributor because it emits greenhouse gases (methane and carbon dioxide) that heat up our environment. We can process our wet waste and recycle a lot more of the waste we throw away thanks to these converters.We are also able to give the compost to our farmers. We will be able to process all of their wet waste if we can place these organic waste converters near the recycle and trash bins of apartment complexes and communities and make it a requirement to put wet waste into them. If we can install these converters in the private sectors of Hyderabad, we will be able to combat climate change because we will be reducing and processing our wet waste, which means that our wet waste and recyclable waste will not be mixed again. As a result, our environment will become more green and sustainable, and our farmers will benefit from valuable compost.

The goal of this petition is to aid in the fight against climate change and the preservation of our planet. Waste is a major contributor to climate change, particularly in Hyderabad. If we can install these convectors in Hyderabad communities, we will be able to combat climate change and protect our environment.
