Residents and friends of Belmont Farms, please sign the below petition AGAINST the current proposed development filed 10/03 for the property located at 2210 Georgetown Road AKA the Meijer property (separate project from the Webb/Greer released last week).  If you feel inclined, please email your concerns to our Council Member Josh McCurn who is meeting with property developers soon - jmccurn@lexingtonky.gov.

The link below shows the plans submitted. The project description states "install new retail buildings in a B-3 zone". There are two parcels of land planned for buildings along with a parking lot. There are also 10 other subdivided parcels for future retail development.

The existing proposal shows little to no concern or barrier for NOISE, EXCESSIVE LIGHT, TRAFFIC (two intersections lead into Belmont Farms), or GREEN SPACE to protect horses at the adjacent equine hospital and residents.  Poorly planned developments can negatively impact property values and disturb the feel of nice quiet neighborhoods like ours.
