Help CHS students get a beverage dispensing fountain in the cafeteria

Every day, thousands of students drink out of plastic water bottles, just to throw away the plastic once they are done. Every day, about 60 million water bottles are thrown away, equating to about 22 billion in a year. Plastic bottles are the most commonly used forms of plastic, however, plastic is nonbiodegradable and will take hundreds of years to break down, and in the meantime, it will just sit on the land, and could be eaten by animals or pose other dangers to wildlife. Plastic also takes a lot of energy to produce, the energy that could be used for anything else. Even if we could reduce the use of plastic water bottles by thousands of students, we can protect the environment and save energy one plastic bottle at a time. Imagine the money that could be saved if every student did not have to buy water bottles every day. Imagine the impact on the environment. The tap system has proven to be successful in one particular juice bar called Root on Tap, with a rating of 4.9/5 stars. With a tap system, the students of CHS pay less for the same product, have the freedom to customize their drink based on their flavor palette and happen to be helping the earth in the process.
Let's work together to convince the CISD administrators to install a working beverage fountain to reduce the use of plastic by thousands of pounds each year.
