ICSE Student started this petition to Cisce Head Mr.Gerry Arathoon

The Board exam for the Indian ICSE AND ISC students have been scheduled to take place during a lift of the current lockdown in India. Amidst the Corona virus pandemic it is very ignorant and dangerous on the council's part to conduct these exams in halls where the students are seated less than 3 feet away from each other.

Covid-19 is a highly contagious disease and it is not fair to be putting children aged 15-18 in such risk. This is not a light matter and should not be ignored. Regardless of whether precautions are taken , this scenario is not ideal for the safety of those who have to participate. Adding to this the families of those children as well as the invigilators will be at high risk of exposure. Kindly look at this from a student's point of view : We are required to enter a hall with the seating capacity of 50-200 , our desks and chairs are placed at a distance of 3 feet or less from each other. Not only this, in most schools each desk will be used by 2 different students, one in the 10th grade and the other in the 12th. Self-aware individuals will also be in danger if even a single person is careless about their surroundings and hygiene.

The point of all of this is not to cancel the exams, it is just to postpone them until we are in a scenario where it is safe to have such large public gatherings.

Please share this petition if you understand or relate to where we are coming from. This was initiated with the motive of keeping as many people safe as possible. We hope our plea is heard by the council .
