Evaluation of ICSE board marks based on first six papers not pre boards

Due to the corona virus pandemic the ICSE boards had been stopped till things went back to normal.

The CISCE published a new time table for remaining exams and the exams were supposed to be held in July, but some parents of children who stay in Maharashtra wrote letters to the Council saying that it would not be safe and the health of the children is more important.

After having seen these responses the Council has asked for the pre board marks of all the students which is an indication that if the remaining exams are not held, they would be calculating the percentage based on the pre board marks which would be unfair as each school has a different question paper and it will not be a common benchmark for evaluation. Also, we all know that students perform much better in the boards as compared to the pre boards because the pre board papers are set harder to gear the students for the board exams and the corrections are extremely strict.

So it would be better if the Council calculated the percentage based on the completed exams and not the pre boards
