Students Deserve a Say in Their Education

Education is vital; this, we can all agree on. What there seems to be a discrepancy on is who should have a say in what happens behind the scenes. School Boards have long controlled the happenings in their districts, yet these boards are only representative of adults in the community; not the students that live under their policies and decisions. I believe that having a few non-voting seats designated for high school upperclassmen on the board would increase efficiency and satisfaction for any district that chooses to partake. Thus, I am petitioning Cindy Lotton, President of KellerISD's Board of Trustees, to be a stepping stone in making this dream a reality.
