As active members of the COG7 congregation, we would like to hold an assembly to discuss the following topics:

• Remodeling of temple - adding "stage lights" to the stage, colour scheme of new paint job
• Amending by-laws - amendment to require the committee to include and notify all active members of big budgeted/drastic projects and have said project be put to a vote and be voted on by members of the church

We are requesting this meeting because it has come to our attention that the church along with the church's refurbished benches, new carpets, and painting they are also wanting to add stage lights to "enhance" the worship experience and some believe these changes would make the church look/feel like a concert which would only enhance an emotional experience and not a spiritual experience. There is also a health concern about these lights, being that is could strain the eyes of members and it could even trigger epilepsy.This issue stems from the fact that there wasn't a meeting to inform the congregation of these changes and that it was not put to a vote. So if you agree with the issues listed above please sign this petition and help us. Our intentions should always be to have out church member's interest at heart first and the well-being of everyone.
