Whilst fully understanding your wishes to resign from the Labour Party and stand as independent members of parliament, we ask that you do the right thing and resign to trigger by-elections in your respective constituencies. In the general election in 2017 you all fought on a Labour manifesto, and people in your constituencies campaigned and voted for you on that basis. Those people now deserve the chance to show their continued support for you as individuals or to elect members of parliament who will support the Labour Party manifesto, and its democratically elected leadership.
