As many of you know, support periods at Calabasas high school were previously in the mornings, starting about an hour before class. Now, however, these support periods have been broken up into twenty minute periods at the end of each block class. Not only is this an issue due to many teachers using our support time for further teaching, but it also drags out classes to the point of being exhausting. In total, support through the day takes up an hour of time. If support periods are removed from class time during block days, school will end at 2:29. The extra hour that made up support during class can be moved to after school. Therefore, support would be from 2:29-3:29. This allows students who have no need for support to go home for the day while those who need the help can stay longer.
