Girls are dress coded daily for dressing how we feel is comfortable. For example, tank tops, crop tops, shorts, etc. Girls do not appreciate getting dress coded every time we wear something that may “distract“ Immature high school guys. In reality most of the guys don’t even notice. It’s the male teachers that get “distracted”. Teenager’s parents approve more of what their own daughter wears better than a high school principal. Most of the time male teachers can’t appreciate we already don’t want to hear a hoodie and leggings 24/7 in hot weather so we get blamed for being comfortable? Crop tops that show 6 inches of our stomachs is still dress coded worthy? How is that so wrong showing some of our stomachs? Shorts, they ride up our legs and we can’t help it half the time but still get dress coded. Tank tops with skinny straps are inappropriate? How do all these things get dress coded when we don’t mean to half the time. WE JUST WANT TO BE COMFORTABLE! So many girls are tired of getting dress coded but at home their own parents say they look good and expect their child to go to school and have a good day but it’s never a good day when you’re getting dressed coded and assaulted for just trying to be comfortable.
