During the press conference on 5/1/2020 Governor Sununu of New Hampshire outlines how Barbershops, Hair Salons, Cosmetology, Retail Stores, Hospitals, Campgrounds and Golf Courses could start to reopen under new conditions. aka "Stay At Home 2.0" 

Tattoo shops were immediately overlooked. As an artist in this industry for 21+ years I feel, along with my colleagues that this is prejudicial. We can easily tattoo one to two clients per day / per artist and come into contact with far less members of the community than these other businesses. Imagine all who will pass through Grocery Stores, Retail and Beauty Salons in comparison.

Licensed NH Tattoo Artists have to be trained in cross contamination and blood borne pathogen tests yearly. We also are required to use gloves, medical grade barriers and sterilant, which these others industries are not required.

We have not found one study to show that being around someone for a prolonged amount of time insures a higher risk of transmission.

We are often overlooked, under appreciated and looked down upon as a community yet tattooed people make up the majority. We are asking for the same reasonable rights and considerations as the other industries.

SIGN THE PETITION, and let Governor Sununu know that this will not stand.
