We need more refuges for the victims of domestic violence. When a woman/or man are terrified for their life, after suffering years of mental, physical, and sexual abuse, they need support and help to stay safe. The most dangerous time for a victim is when they are about to leave or have left. I’ve written a book on the subject with my co author and what she went through was horrific and she’s not alone. Special units need to be set up within the police where officers are highly trained in sociopathic behaviours. Refuges funded by the Government where a victim can go and feel safe. The statistics for domestic violence are higher than ever and the perpetrators also need help with Court Actions enforcing them into programmes to correct their behaviours.
