From a distance, India's orphanages seem like safe places for the the many homeless street children all over the country. In India, orphanages are places where children face harsh treatment. Sexual and psychological violence, and abuse at child homes and orphanages is very common in India. A solution for the mistreatment of children has to be identified.One of the ways to do this is by spreading awareness of this issue and making people understand the negative impact it can have on children. What's worst is that many of these orphanages get thousands of dollars in charity on a monthly basis. Citizens of India have to be made aware of what takes place behind the scenes!
