How do you imagine the world in 30 years? Do you think it will look drastically different or will it be more advanced? Well within the next 30 years, much of the world will be in shambles. Many cities and iconic monuments will be sunken into the depths of the ocean. Hundreds of beloved species will become extinct, such as bees and types of parrots. China, the United States, and India are responsible for the detrimental effects of climate change that we face today. Ladies and gentlemen, my name is Marcello Fiorentino and I am here to discuss how these countries have left a negative impact on our environment.

CHINA

Since China is the most populated country in the world, it is obvious that the country is the number one greenhouse gas emitter. Every year, China burns half of the world’s coal supply. The coal being burned releases CO2 into the atmosphere which causes numerous things to occur, such as sea levels rising and the global temperature increasing.

THE UNITED STATES

The United States is another country that is responsible for a majority of the changes in the climate that we are facing today. In the year 2018, the average amount of CO2 that was emitted per person was about 17 metric tons. Millions of people will lose their entire lives if CO2 emissions don’t get cut down.

INDIA

India may suffer devastating changes within the next 80 years. The average temperature in India is set to increase 4.2 degrees Celsius by the end of the 21st century. The majority of citizens in India will have to suffer major changes in their lives. Heatwaves and droughts are going to happen if changes are not made soon.

CALL TO ACTION

All of these countries are diminishing a future for generations to come. I urge you to sign my petition on change.org to help create change. Just 1,000 signatures will help us gain recognition by the United Nations and enforce changes to the way that these countries use their resources and help restore our ecosystem to its best potential.
