Chilliwack is a growing community that, we hope, will never lose it's small town charm. While retaining the quaintness of our past, it is important to also embrace the present and future.

Many if not most Chilliwack residents do not work here. This is a bedroom community. As such, many professionals work Monday to Friday outside the city, giving them only 2 days a week for things like recreation and shopping.

By signing this petition, we are asking local businesses to open Sundays. We value brick and mortar businesses, we want to shop local, but you have not given us the opportunity. We would like you to change that.

Choosing a week day to close for rest would be most appropriate.

Open your doors on the days that customers are most likely to shop- the weekend.

By choosing to not open when your customers are ready to make a purchase, you are giving your sales to someone else- often online retailers.
