My name is Karl Younger, I am a professional self employed musician who like many teach 1-1 instrumental lessons from my home studio. 

I am facing having to stop teaching privately if I am not successful in applying for a change of use from Babergh District Council for my studio. This has arisen from unfounded complaints being made from a problem neighbour. 

With music and music instrument lessons being increasingly cut from the public school education private music tuition is becoming increasingly important. Many of the kids I teach do not have access to such tuition at school and older retired adults  also benefit from my work. 

I work with organisations such exam boards RGT, Rockschool, Duke of Edinburgh Awards and Awards for Young Musicians. All of which benefit and enrich the learning experience for so many. 

Personally if I were unable to continue to teach from my home I would loose a big portion of my regular income which would mean I could no longer work as a professional musician and support my family.
