This abuse can brought on by any figure who plays a significant role in a child's life, such as parents, caregivers, coaches, teachers, extended family, etc. This figure may not even realize the effect of their words and see how this impacts the child. Hence, awareness and recognition are a major step in the right direction to continue to educate others on the delirious effects of emotional abuse.
