Reassignment of Lt. Reyes as Hillview Precinct Commander

To Whom It May Concern:

Former Precinct commander Lt. Reyes was and is  the key figure in propelling Hillview 7th Precinct into what the 7th precinct personnel feel has been the Precincts' best years as of yet. Under Lt. Reyes, Hillview 7th Precinct had been praised for its job performance and extra initiative that its personnel have abundantly displayed to bring the atmosphere at this precinct to its most highest. The moral of Hillview 7th Precinct also was elevated to the cusp of positivity and self appreciation due to Lt. Reyes. We worked as one unit under Lt. Reyes’ leadership. Lt. Reyes was not a boss to the personnel of Hillivew but a leader. He did not stand on the sidelines and let others do the hard work. He was actively with his subordinates, along side them, as we all pitched in an effort to achieve a common goal of job efficiency and to build a family. Lt. Reyes possesses extraordinary leadership qualities and utilized these assets to bring his personnel to higher level of achievements which in return reflected in their work place performance. Because Lt. Reyes is 7th precinct family it was extremely disheartening for the majority of the personnel to hear of his harsh and hasty effective immediately reassignment which has been received as our (7th Precinct) family member being taken away.  Already the atmosphere has shifted at Hillview precinct as doubts, uncertainties and concerns have plagued the mind of its personnel. The 7th precinct had a great year that we are all so proud of, or to correctly put it, we were all so proud of. We no longer have a beloved member and it is to be frankly put, just disheartening. At this point Hillview personnel do understand that the email did state that Lt. Reyes’ reassignment was “temporary” and we do have an open mind as we hope that our precinct commander will be returned.

This letter was respectfully drafted to express the concerns and feelings of the 7th precinct personnel simply because our voice, which was Lt. Reyes, has been removed from us.

Thank you for your time and understanding.

Respectfully proud to be one of Hillview Precinct’s Personnel,

Elliot Clanton
