Increasingly the concrete, exotic and invasive species of plants and trees are being introduced by BBMP into nature spelling disaster to the local birds and butterflies. These neither provide food or shelter to the Native  flora and fauna. 

The natures abodes such as Parks, Lakes, Riverbeds and urban forests are safe only in the hands of the Ecology, Environment and Forest department, Government of Karnataka. The move to transfer them to BBMP will spell extinction to life in them.  BBMP may convert them to concrete jungles and exotic species landscaping.
