Political violence is a curse that has pestered Bengal since long. It is high time that this be stopped. We request you, the Chief Minister of West Bengal, who has been elected with a huge majority by the electors, to take up the gauntlet and act fast and strictly to stop this unwarranted loss of life. Power may come and power may go, but lives lost can't ever be reclaimed. For every life lost there are tens of others, their family members and friends, who are marred psychologically for life, and hundreds of others who lose their faith on the great constitution of this great country. An eye for an eye leaves behind a world of blind people. 

We, the electors of this great democracy, call upon you to carry out your constitutional duty and install rule of law.
