Uttarakhand should say NO to Clinical Establishment Act

0 have signed. Let’s get to 1,000!

Clinical Establishment Act as envisaged in its present form is not suited to the geographical and demographic problems applicable in the hilly state of Uttarakhand. This state has many remote and backward area with poor population and scanty Government healthcare resources.

Lifeline of majority of the people of Uttarakhand is the service provided by honest, hardworking small and mid sized private doctors clinics and nursing homes.

Enforcing Clinical Establishment Act in the state will force these small and mid size clinics and nursing homes to close down and the population will have to rely either upon nonexistent/insufficent government reources or unaffordable large corporate hospitals.

We request Hon Chief Minister of Uttarakhand to not enforce Clinical Establishment Act in its present form, in the interest of poor patients of the state. Amendments are needed to be incorporated in consultation with Indian Medical Association of Uttarakhand.
