Students' Mental/Physical Health and Safety, Online Exams
Students' Mental/Physical Health and Safety, Online Exams
India reports 8,306 new Covid-19 cases, Omicron tally crosses 20 as of Monday, December 06, 2021. WHO designates 'Omicron' as a 'variant of concern', with 5 Indian States being on high alert (Delhi, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Gujarat, and Karnataka).
During such circumstances, colleges are determined to take offline end semester examinations as of December 2021. The students' mental as well as physical health is totally being ignored. Teaching the entire semester, they now inform us that they shall be conducting offline exams, providing us with minimum time to prepare and also burdening us with the assignments that are due in December itself.
It is a call to our honorable chief minister to look at this entire situation from the student's point of view and ask the Uttarakhand colleges to conduct online exams this semester.
The new variant's panic is taking a toll on every student's mental health and it is inhuman for colleges to expect us to ignore what is happening in the world and expect students to give offline exams with much less preparation time.
We are expecting a response in our favor
regards,
Uttarakhand Students.
