The ground water table has depleted drastically in spite of the temperature levels being at below 40 degrees in the RK Puram, Neredmet, Safilguda Localities even before the summer began this year. 

To compound our already existing problems, the metro water works dept is very callous in its attitude and response toward the problem by not bothering to supply the municipal water on alternate days. They are now supplying water once in every 5 days. Borewells have dried up because of the R K PURAM lake having dried up for the last 2 years. 

When we contact the concerned authorities in person, they turn a deaf ear to our problems and mentioned that the inflows of water into the sainikpuri and vajpayee nagar reservoirs are not adequate. When confronted with certain facts that how are the main city residents able to get water every alternate day even during these difficult times, they do not have a satisfactory response. 

In light of these developments and the grave situation prevailing in the above mentioned localities, May I request you to intervene through your good offices and help us solve the problem at the earliest lest we continue to suffer for want of the very basic necessity - Water.
