Petition agnst illogical & unconstitutional rule governing no confidence motion in CHS

This petition had 6 supporters

Our society members of Jawahar Nagar CHS , Nerul, bearing Society registration No KBA/HSG/111/4-1-1967 had a shocking result when the management committee went for a no confidence motion against the Secretary under the supervision of Registrar of Societies. There were 7 votes out of 10 members who voted for the motion and yet the motion was declared in favour of the Secretary who had 3 votes out of 10.

The members of the society has been crestfallen and have lost belief in the constitution and the laws governing the society and we are forced to be ruled over by a Secretary who is acting against the interest of the society.

We were informed by the Registrar of societies that the votes were counted on the basis that there should have been 13 members on the board which should be including 3 reserved seats for minority members like SC/ST, OBC etc.Unfortunately our society does not seem to have such members/ or they are not interested to become a part of the committee.,

We feel that the above law considering GHOST members who are not available to be considered during a no confidence motion is illogical/unconstitutional/unlawful should be scraped.

We sincerely request all our well wishers and friends to actively support us in our petition to the government to scrap such rules & regulations and be more supportive to the larger interest of the society and also to help the society to remove the secretary who does not have support of the majority of committee members please

We sincerely hope you will all understand the situation and support us whole heartedly in having a peaceful and friendly society which is in the larger interest of all its members,

Many thanks for your kind co-operation & understanding
