A pregnant wild elephant in Kerala’s Mallapuram Silent Valley Forest fell victim to an act of abhorrent human cruelty after a pineapple filled with powerful crackers offered by a man exploded in her mouth when she chomped on it.

The gentle gaint remained clam and did not harm anyone although she was going through excrutiating pain for several hours and breathed her last sitting in the river with her mouth and trunk in water, perhaps for some relief from the unbearable pain,thinking of her unborn child.

No arrest has been made till now!

Such cruelty against wild animals is apparently very common in Mallapuram and no action has been taken in most of the cases which is emboldening some human monsters to get away with such acts.(source:https://twitter.com/Manekagandhibjp/status/1268071345327202305/photo/1
