Since time immemorial, Giriraj Shetrunjay and Shetrunji River are most revered and pious places of pilgrimage to Jains and we worship them. They are akin to an idol to us. Jain devotees from all over the world visit these places of pilgrimage for Darshan and Pooja.

We firmly believe that this Water Aerodrome and Sea planes will damage the piousness and sanctity of our supreme pilgrimage and because of this we all are highly worried and saddened. Our Jain Acharyas and the entire community are shocked and stunned with this move of the Government.

Jains believes Ahimsa at micro level and we fear that lot of life in the most pious river, which we worship, will be affected and destroyed.

Besides the pilgrims, other tourists will increase which will diminish the piousness and sanctity of our most revered and pious mountain and river.

We urge the Central and the State Government to positively think in this regard and not to go ahead with this project at Shetrunji River.
