Rain Water Harvesting in Gurugram

Rain Water Harvesting in Gurugram

As all in Gurugram know well, we are facing an acute water shortage. Water levels are depleting fast. Meanwhile, illegal operation of Diesel Generator sets and submersible pumps - for construction as well as consumption - is common knowledge. This not only results in increased air pollution but also aggravates the water crisis.
Recent satellite data has also shown that Gurugram is one of the Indian cities which will completely run out of groundwater resources soon.
On the other hand, rainy season is approaching and we will soon find roads flooded with water. The low lying areas will remain immersed under water, making the lives of the residents hell.
An immediate and urgent measure required to combat this is *Rainwater Harvesting* to conserve the monsoon water instead of letting it go wasted. The importance of this cannot be over-emphasised.
