Sameer Habib started this petition to Justice Gulzar Ahmad (Chief Justice of Pakistan)

Dear Sir,

Pubg is a game that has recently been banned in Pakistan. The reason is somewhat not acceptable as it is regarding 3 youngsters comiting suicide, it is very sad but the blame to be put on Pubg is not the right thing to do. First of all the game is not to be played by anyone under the age of 16. However, nowadays parents have bought their children with latest smartphones and tabs which are being misused, in not just playing some mature games but also for other mature content available on the internet. In my opinion, the children who spend time playing this game, might be safe from.othrr harm on display on the web. We urge to to un-ban the game, rather have a way to protect youngsters from being able to download the game on their tabs. However, if they do download the game, it is the responsibility of the parents to get their children to stop using the game, if they don't like it. Many individuals have invested a lot of time and money on this game and built a reputation and it is the only source of their income. I myself am a working individual and during this pandemic the game has kept me safe from depression and many many others too. Because not being able to physically meet friends or having an outing can have a very negative impact on a person's mind and restricting themselves to sit at home. I understand this game has become very addictive and people spend a lot of time on it, but the thing is schools are off, nowhere to go and once schools open, the children would have no time to play this game for long, as it was before the lockdown. YES THIS GAME EXISTED AT THAT TIME TOO. Lockdown has just given children more time to play the game, that's it. Children need activity and believe me PUBG is a much better activity than a lot of things available on the internet.

I urge the authorities to resume the game in Pakistan and don't let thoughts of a few hurt a lot more.
