Dear Sir,

We, the undersigned, are deeply disturbed by the sad state of affairs within the MeECL, and its subsidiaries, and the way it is adversely affecting us, the common citizens of the State of Meghalaya. We, therefore, urge upon you to kindly appoint, at the earliest possible, an independent retired professional, from the power sector, to study and inquire into the reasons how and why an organization like the MeECL has run into losses and debt, and to suggest the short term and long term steps required to be taken to bring the organization back into a healthy position. In order to facilitate a fair inquiry, it is suggested that the Retiree so appointed should not have been from the MeECL, or any of its subsidiaries, or from the Government of Meghalaya.
