I have a x370 board and even though it was pretty expensive when i bought it, i won't be a bit dissapointed if AMD decides to stick with it's decision not to give support to OEM's for zen3. But, on the other hand you have ppl who in the absence of B550 and the expense of X570, bought B450 mbo's convinced by the AMD's clumpsy marketing that they will have an upgrade path. Well now it turns out they don't. They should've bought X570 and payed essentially double the price for a MBO, or wait for 9 months and than buy a B550... The whole Bios chip crap arguement needs little explanation, so you have high end X570 Mbo's on market with 16MB Bios chips and in the same time B450 Mbo's with 32MB Bios chips. Now, Amd esetially wants to sell us the story that 16MB is bigger than 32MB, in short. This is plain wrong! They needed to be more acurate with their bold claims like the one that says: "AMD made a commitment to maintain and support AM4 socket THROUGH 2020", and than later the edited version: "AMD made a commitment to maintain and support AM4 socket UNTIL 2020". 2 very different key words... I could go on with why B550/B450/B350 are essentially the same "made by" ASmedia chip, the only difference being the connection between cpu and the chipset being faster on newer models, but enough said. I made my point. AMD obviously bets on ppl not knowing all this info, so there it is - the truth. Ofcourse, i know there is a lot more to it, like the pressure OEM's make on AMD, technical difficulties with so many chipsets and so on. But they made "a commitment" - they should've stuck with it or tell the public a lot sooner about this compability issue - in that case no one would blame them...

I just bought a higher tier B450 motherboard (with ample Bios flash storage) with The intention of being able to upgrade CPU later. Now I’m stuck. This is completely anti consumer.
