The Chief Election Commissioner of India,
New Delhi, India.
Collector of Maharashtra in a RTI reply said that malfunctioning of Electronic Voting Machine was found in Mumbai Municipal Corp elections.
A large number of people have been saying this for a long time. the CEC was and is in denial mode. This is the fist time it has been acknowledged. People have no trust in EVMs used in elections. They want that elections be conducted in the old way of ballot papers.
As an important custodian of Indian democracy it is your duty to restore the trust of citizens in free and fair elections. To achieve this goal please ban the usage of EVMs till alternate system is found. Restore of old system of castin votes by ballot papers.
