Aravind Gangadharan started this petition to Chief Election Commissioner Shri Sunil Arora
Problem
I am writing this petition to make a personal representation of two (2) mutually exclusive demands.

A.1) Demands
Please stop using EVMs for Loksabha General Elections 2019. I shall "refuse to vote", if this demand is not met with.

Solution
A.2) In case, the Election Commission decide to proceed with EVMs itself, then please keep a Register named "Refuse to Vote" or "49-O" in every polling booth. Those who refuse to vote, should be given a chance to make a manuscript record of the same in the Register.

Personal story
I am an ex-NRI who would like to see the prosperity of the country.
Rationale of the demands

a. Several technologically advanced countries including Europe and the Americas have stopped using EVMs stating that it is vulnerable to fraudulence.

b. Post elections, several Evidences of EVM Tamperings have come up in various parts of the country.
(i) In Maharashtra, after assembly election results were declared, an independent candidate got zero (0) votes, even when he and his family voted for him.
(ii) Recently in Chastthisgad and Various Assembly Elections, it was observed that only one light in the EVM (corresponding to only one particular party) was glowing irrespective of the candidates chosen by the voters.

c. So many engineers have technically proved that, EVMs can be Tampered.
d. While ascertaining that the EVMs are safe, The Election Commission itself has admitted its inability to read the programme code of EVMs.
