this bus runs through several bar/restaurant neighborhoods (pilsen, west loop, ukranian village, wicker park, bucktown, roscoe village, north center, andersonville, and edgewater to name a few) and spans the city of chicago from 3500 south to 5700 north. many of these neighborhoods are inhabited by people who work in those bars and restaurants and do not have cars. the last damen bus heads south at 9:20 pm that is ridiculous! one of the next closest buses (ashland) doesn't even go further north than irving park (4000 north). i have also found that during busy times of the day, there is still up to 30 minutes between buses. i feel as though there is a big enough need to cover the cost of this bus running later. even if less frequent at night.
