Residents against Homeless Shelter at Brook Lane, Chester

0 have signed. Let’s get to 500!

Cheshire West and Chester Council want to purchase 26, 27 and 28 Brook Lane, Chester for 21 flats/rooms for the homeless.

The planning application will be submitted mid-September, building is scheduled to start in November 2020, then the homeless moved in by Spring 2021.

There will be an online public meeting (details will follow), attended by ward councillors (Richard Beacham for housing, regeneration and growth, Gill Watson for mental health and Adam Langan).

Any further questions about these plans, e-mail Housingstratergy@cheshirewestandchester.gov.uk or call 0300 1238123.

Locals already know that the Northgate Park opposite already has problems with the homeless, drink and drugs.  The proposed shelter is on a school route.  The residential area is a location of privately owned, well maintained, high value properties and house values would plummet/houses would not sell in that area if this went ahead.  Imagine the current problems we already face with the homeless in the city centre but moved right outside your home!
