Since 2020, Shavington Youth Club has been closed due to lack of funding. This historical building should not be kept closed as it is a hub for the young people of the community and it is a place that has provided food and hot chocolate for people in the winter months and has promoted, increased, and created good community cohesion in our village, which is necessary in the age of building back communities after the Covid-19 pandemic. In the last few months, our local Conservative MP, Kieran Mullen, has promoted the re-opening of this youth club, and the Labour Crewe Town Council has also supported this. Despite the desire to start this re-opening from those in local government, nothing has happened for months and we have heard little about it. So, we ask you, would you sign this petition, to pressurise the council to begin their work in re-opening this youth club, to see a great community, flourishing even more.
