The residents of Haslington would like to stress the importance of a proper crossing of Crewe Road between Ashley Meadow and The Dingle. This crossing would serve the entirety of the Haslington community not least the children of The Dingle Primary School when walking to and from school. There is also secondary school children travelling to both Sandbach Girls and Sandbach Boys schools as they are collected and dropped off by bus on Crewe Road near to The Dingle and Ashley Meadow. 

Vehicle drivers using Crewe Road do not seem to obey the 30mph speed limit through the village (evident by the constant attendance of a PSCO with a speed gun) and almost never stop or slow to allow crossing. The only "Safe" way to cross is to wait until there are zero cars approaching, which is almost never especially during peak times. This is so dangerous at any time of day or night. 

Whether you are from Haslington or not, a walker or a driver, young or old I am sure you all understand the importance of being safe while crossing roads. The lack of a proper crossing location in the village must be addressed.
