Tell CCSD to STOP using styrofoam lunch trays for good
Why this petition matters

If you were to bury a styrofoam lunch tray into the ground, and then unbury it a million years later, it would still look exactly the same (though it might be a little dirty). Styrofoam is a petroleum based plastic that is difficult to recycle.
Everyday in the Cherry Creek School District thousands of single use styrofoam lunch trays are thrown away without a second thought. The trays are then sent to landfills, where they will stay for thousands or years. All of this styrofoam is wrecking the environment, yet people don’t seem to care. I do care that our planet is being destroyed, and I will do everything I can to help Earth thrive.
There is a simple solution to this problem, and that is to replace styrofoam lunch trays with biodegradable lunch trays full time. Stopping the use of these environment killers will help ensure that our Earth will thrive for millions of years.
Sign this petition to let the CCSD superintendent know that we want more environmentally friendly lunch trays in our schools!
