I have heard many complaints, and witnessed for myself, the horrible traffic hazards created by the morning and afternoon school zone traffic at Spring Garden School. There is a notable danger to life for our students, faculty, parents, visitors, and people commuting by the school. I would hate for someone to be injured or killed to be enough to get something changed. Why wait until it is too late?

The main issue is on Cherokee County Road 29 at the intersection of Cherokee County Road 8, and Cherokee County Road 29 at the intersection of the campus driveway at Dale Welsh Gymnasium. Vehicles (including school buses) block the roadways and intersections leading to people passing in a no passing zone or cutting through the parking lot at Liberty Baptist Church. There is poor visibility for drivers on the roadway and especially drivers re-entering the roadway from the gymnasium.

Anyone that has experienced the traffic agrees that the situation has to be better. There have been enough close calls. That is the reason for this petition. So that everyone's voice can become as one, and demand that something be done before it cost someone their life.
