Hockey and Baseball have been a favorite pastimes for Elmira and Chemung County as well as other surroundings. Between both sports and the venues that hold their games have brought on a huge economic impact and growth to the County and City of Elmira. The owners of CAN-USA have changed the community in many ways and have made huge impact. They have given the City of Elmira hope and changed the lives of many others. Without CAN-USA First Arena and Dunn Field would be sitting in the darkness. As most people may not know that the County IDA is the owners of First Arena and CAN-USA is renting the facilities. But per the local news sources ( WETM and WENY) is that the county IDA  is not willing to accept or put an offer on the table for CAN-USA to option or exhaust their buying of the facilities with that being said we as in the community need to step up and help CAN-USA win this battle because without them their will not be hockey or baseball or any events held at First Arena. So please sign and share this petition with my support and others so the community can have pastimes of baseball and hockey and other events in the community. CAN-USA has brought a big deal of economic relief and excitement to the community as they give back to the community. This is our town. Our team.
