He currently remains Academy Director, a role he has maintained for the last 14 years, a role he has excelled at honorably. He has made the Academy of Chelsea Football Club the best in the world for the last 10 years, his direct impact has been undeniable. The trophy cabinet of Chelsea Football Club's Academy has increased enormously since his appointment.

According to the Chelsea Football Club website "Bath has also overseen the most successful period for the Academy in terms of tournament achievements. Following the FA Youth Cup triumph in 2010, our first success in the tournament since 1961, we have lifted the trophy in 2012, 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017. The feat of winning four years in a row has only ever been accomplished once before in the history of the competition, by the Manchester United Busby Babes side of the 1950s.

Our youngsters were also crowned Under-21 Premier League champions in 2013/14 and secured back-to-back triumphs in the UEFA Youth League, the Under-19 Champions League equivalent, in 2014/15 and 2015/16."

It is only right that Neil Bath is promoted to the role of Director of Football at Chelsea Football Club due to his selfless and excellent service for the company. The club can do no better than to look in house for this role rather seek greener pastures from outside. This is not because a suitable candidate cannot be found but because the culture of Chelsea Football Club can be preserved, the Academy will benefit from such a promotion, their will be easy transition for an Academy player into the Senior team and also it shows the reward for hard work in the company called Chelsea Football Club Ltd.
