The third wave of Covid-19 is likely to hit India in the month of August and the daily infections are likely to clock between one lakh to 1.5 lakh, according to a study conducted by IIT researchers, in such times of turmoil some of the universities and schools are completely ignorant towards the safety of the students and are working towards the re-opening of the institutions amid this Pandemic. We never know when the situation might get worse and the terror that was caused by the second and first wave might just reappear. Students have to travel to reach the universities being exposed to the crowds of potential carriers. Although vaccines have been in place but there is a clear evidence that many recipients have contracted Covid-19 even after receiving all the doses. All the examination and classes should be held online. We as students are ready to accept any terms and conditions for online exams but traveling again and being in hostels and classes among such a huge crowd is completely absurd and should be avoided at all costs. This is a humble request to all the authorities to keep the institutions closed for the safety of their students and employees and conduct the classes and exams online.
